On Egyptian day, the children in Class 3 came to school dressed up. Some were Egyptian people, some even came as mummies or pyramids !
We made cartouches and Eygptian collars. Also we made Egyptian date bread.
After lunch we did our Egyptian dance – Class 4 came to watch us. In the afternoon, we took turns to go into the Egyptian tomb that Mrs Riegler had made just outside our classroom. While we were in there we played some instruments, and pretended to be Priests and mourners.
 
Mrs Riegler showed us how to write our name in hieroglyphics, which was interesting.
We had lots of fun on Egyptian day!
