Organisation

Holy Apostles' School is the collective name for all who work and enjoy, bringing education and life skills to the children.   Our school prides itself on the role each and everyone plays, from teaching, leading, cleaning, governing and supporting the children to achieve their potential.

The governing body of the school oversee all areas of the School's administration and direction.  The Governors have responsibility for the building, the curriculum and employment of the staff. Of course they do not work in isolation but closely with the Headteacher, and those delivering the education to the children, those keeping the children safe and maintaining a pleasant environment

The day to day running of the school is overseen by the Headteacher and this includes co-ordinating the teacing staff and support staff involved in the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring the  provision of supervisors who look after the children during lunch times, and the cleaning staff who provide a clean and pleasant working environment for all in the school.

First contact for most, with the school are the secretaries who facilitate the smooth running and co-ordination of all communications both inside and outside of school.

Foundation Governors at Holy Apostles' are appointed by the Gloucester Diocesan Board of Education after nomination by Holy Apostles' Parochial Church Council. To comply with the School Governance Regulations 2003, three Foundation Governors must be parents of pupils at school when they are appointed; the Staff Governors must be employed at the school at the time of election; and the Parent Governors must be a parent of a pupil at the school at the time of election and be elected by parents of registered pupils.
